Momentive High Performance Materials, the main supplier of polyurethane additives, recently plans to open a research and development technical service laboratory in the polyurethane additives department of Leverkusen, Germany. This is the fifth polyurethane additive laboratory owned by the company worldwide.

　　 According to Momentive, this new laboratory is combined with the company's other R&D centers in Europe to provide silicone polymers, silicone surfactants and silane products for many industrial applications. Dr. Ian Moore, CEO and President of Momentive Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, stated in a company statement on March 18: "The opening of this new laboratory is a commitment of Momentive to the global polyurethane industry. Another great example, we will continue to promote product innovation and win customer support."

　　The opening of a new laboratory in Germany will strengthen Momentive's influence in the global polyurethane field. Momentive's other polyurethane additive laboratories are located in Sisterville, West Virginia, Tarrytown, New York, Shanghai, China, and Ohta, Japan. Momentive polyurethane additives series products have two brands, Niax and Geolite.

　　In the new laboratory in Leverkusen, polyurethane experts can conduct foam molding research and have a complete testing system. Dr. Pierre Chaffanjon will serve as the head of the laboratory and lead the R&D team of polyurethane rigid foams in Leverkusen. He said: “This new polyurethane additive laboratory is close to other R&D centers of Momentive in Leverkusen, which provides easy access to various equipment and synthesis laboratory technology, and can communicate with the large Momentive R&D team. "
