China's rubber consumption outlook "remains relatively healthy."

  Chinese rubber industry, a senior who said on Monday that despite the global economic crisis could lead to a slowdown of recent rubber consumption growth, but long-term outlook remains relatively healthy.
  Fan Rende China Rubber Industry Association, pointed out that "China's auto industry, road construction and the development of the transport sector means that domestic tires and other rubber products, demand is still strong."
  In 2008, China's natural rubber and synthetic rubber consumption increased by 7.7% over the previous year, of which natural rubber consumption reached 2.59 million tons, among which 168 tonnes from imports, an increase of 2%.
  Chinese automobile tire production in 2008 rose 14.4% to 350 million.
  China is the world's largest consumer of natural rubber, tire and rubber product exports accounted for 40% of exports.
